The fine print, in plain type
Is the free tier actually free?
Yes. Unlimited diagrams, up to 50 tables each, no account — and no trial that quietly converts on you. The paid plan exists for schemas that outgrow 50 tables.
What counts against the limit?
Tables in a single diagram — one paste, one diagram. It is not a daily or monthly quota, and Free never expires.
What exactly does Pro add?
Pro raises the per-diagram limit to 500 tables (we test on real 1,400-table dumps), removes the small erd.tools mark from SVG/PNG exports, and raises PNG export to 4× for print and retina documentation.
Do you store my SQL?
No. Your paste goes to the parser, the diagram renders in your browser, and share links encode the schema in the URL itself. There is no schema database to breach.
How does checkout work?
Payments are handled by Pancake, a merchant of record: they process the payment and remit sales tax / VAT, so it works worldwide. Pro is a subscription that auto-renews until cancelled. After paying you come straight back to erd.tools and Pro activates on your browser — no account required. Your one-time activation link also re-activates Pro after renewals and on your other devices, and you can cancel any time from your receipt email.
What if it doesn't do what I need?
Email us within 14 days of payment for a full refund. No forms, no interrogation.
